Manufacturing Talk Radio conducts an interview with Smooth Logics’ general manager, Andrew Schutte.
Andrew Schutte has been mechanically inclined from a young age. Growing up in his father’s machine shop he was provided a valuable hands-on education of machining, fabrication, and mechanical design throughout high school. Moving to designing automation assembly equipment machine design supporting the automotive, office furniture, medical and consumer product industry.
Andrew knows firsthand the data organization challenges engineers face are numerous without an intuitive or integrated solution between SOLIDWORKS and the other departments. The creation of COUNTERPART is a columniation of those experiences, fully understanding what needs to be track, what long-lead time items are ordered, what parts were released to manufacturing at what revision and more.
Andrew attended Grand Valley State University for software development and then Davenport University for business accounting, combining his education and professional experience he evaluates the market, meets with customers, and guides the future development of COUNTERPART.
Andrew and his wife live in Michigan on a small horse farm with their three children and enjoy working around their property as a family in their spare time.
